So...talk about forced proximity here. I read this book, enjoyed it, and then went on to the next in the series. Unfortunately, I was not too fond of the MC's choices in the next book. BUT the delightful thing is that we all have different tastes, and many people have enjoyed this series. And bonus, this first one was cute and light-hearted.

This was a no for me, I honestly couldn't get into it. But it could be because I've been on an academy kick lately since my epic adventure last week and I need a break. It has a ton of good reviews, is on KU, AND on audible.

I've read both of these books (it's a duet).  I think I liked it.  I just can't remember. But I do own both of the books, so that makes me 99% certain I liked the first one at the very least. 🙂

I remember really loving this book. Â It touched on a lot of deep subjects. Â I can't remember all of it now, but I will be rereading it for sure!

I'm still bit sick, so I'll admit I didn't give this book its due. Â I only read the prologue, but I did like the premise of the story. Â I'll have to return to it when I'm feeling better to see if the writing style works for my brain.
Update: I never came back to it, but I just downloaded the sample again. Â I still like the premise of the story, maybe second time is the charm to actually give it a shot! Sounds like the FMC has a supportive family and not a traumatic background, we shall see.
