TGIF, friends!
I am super excited not to have work tomorrow, and I hope you can take some time to yourself this weekend!
I was all over the board with the post today. I keep changing what I’m interested in reading, which invariably changes the types of samples I can read and do a fair assessment. I ended up on Romantic Comedies for our edition of Completed Series.
Some of these are a very loose connection to a Romantic Comedy, but since they technically meet the genre definition, I went ahead and included them.
Please be aware that since these are completed series, some authors have offered a complete set. A complete set is an excellent option if you buy the series, as it will save some money. HOWEVER, if you have Kindle Unlimited and are not looking to own these books, I suggest you borrow the individual book since you won’t have to pay any extra money.
As always, images and descriptions are from Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases.
Be well, and happy reading!

From Book 1: All great stories start with a death.
In this case, it’s my own.
Instead of the pearly white gates and yellow brick road leading me to Heaven, my soul is chosen to join Afterworld Academy – an exclusive boarding school to train selected souls on how to manage the Afterlife.
Ghosts, Demons, Reapers, and Angels.
Classes on how to fly. Studies on the proper way to select souls. Weaponry. Premonition. Oh, and field trips to Hell.
Sounds peachy, right?
When souls turn up dead, I must work with my four sexy-as-sin mentors to uncover the truth of my new reality.
Things are about to take a deadly turn.
Welcome to Afterworld Academy where the price of admission…is your life.
Dearly Departed is book one of a three book series by bestselling authors, Loxley Savage and Katie May. This is a reverse harem romance meaning that the main character won’t have to choose between her love interests. This is medium-burn and does contain strong language and sexual themes. Oh, and death. Lots and lots of death. Book one will end in a cliffhanger.
*Note from Authors
The main character does pass away from cancer (which is how she ends up in the Afterworld Academy). Please keep this in mind while reading, especially if that may be triggering to you. We would love for you to read our book, but we want you to take care of yourself.

LOVED this series.ย I’m not sure I would classify it as a romantic comedy, but I suppose itย technically fits the definition. There were some plot twists I didn’t love, but I did finish the series! Really enjoyed this one.
Fake an engagement they said. Itโll be easy they said…
Well, let me just tell you – faking anything when it comes to the Ontario brothers is nearly impossible. My nameโs Audrey Littleton, quiet bookstore owner, who tends to leave the house only for groceries and girlsโ night with my three besties. Everything in Sugar Bush, Colorado was going as it always did. At least until Jayden Ontario came tumbling into my shop with quite anโฆ odd request.
Pretend to be engaged to him or one of his two brothers.
The issue? Theyโre not only the CEOs of a multimillion dollar company in the next city over, theyโre also triplets. Somehow though, Iโm roped into their plans, but when we start to gain some unwanted attention, our secret may not stay that way despite our best efforts. Will we be able to get away with their plan or will it all come crumbling down around us, taking their company and reputations with it?
Book 1 of the Besties & Booze shared universe
The Besties & Booze Series is a WhyChoose/Reverse Harem shared universe meaning the female main character in the story doesn’t have to choose between her love interests. Each book ends in a HEA and can be read separately, but it is recommended to read in order.

I adore the first two books, haven’t read the last two.ย If you haven’t given this series a try and are looking for a lighthearted Romantic Comedy, this is the series for you!
From Book 1:ย Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being.
In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.
At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she wonโt ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the worldโa position that she definitely did not earn.
Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.
Either way, she is in trouble.
This is a full novel, 90,000 words. Book 1 of 5 in the Curse of the Gods Series

I am 90% sure that Trickery was the first RH book I read. I thought it was hilarious. However, I didn’t end up finishing this series. I can’t remember why I stopped reading it; perhaps it was because I got into it before it was finished and so got pulled into other books. But I can definitely say the first book made me laugh out loud.
From Book 1: Welcome to Dark River. Population 0.
When Mika McKellen woke up in a stormwater drain while backpacking around Canada, she knew that her mother was right. If you made bad choices, you would end up dead in a ditch. But when she stumbled into Dark River, even her mother could never have dreamed up the residents of this small town in the middle of nowhere, Alberta.
Oh, it had all the usual suspects. Quirky diner owners, untrustworthy outcasts and a Sheriff so hot heโd make any red-blooded woman with a heartbeat beg to be in cuffs in the back of his patrol vehicle. No, the really unusual thing about Dark River was that it was entirely populated by the Undead. Vampires to be specific. And so was Mika.
As Mika adjusts to the life of a Vampire, a dark presence stalks her from the shadows. One of the residents of Dark River was her maker and her murderer.
And they were determined to ensure that Mika never rested in peace.
This is a reverse harem romance with a high heat factor.

There were parts I LOVED and parts I didn’t. It was a funny book, but I do wish it had been a longer series. I want to know MORE; what happens next?! I guess that’s what the spin of series is for.

I am a jumbled confused mess, and I love it.ย I have an extremely vague idea about what is happening, and I applaud the authors for their subtlety.ย I have downloaded the book to see if my guesses about the plot are accurate.
Update: This one ended up being a DNF for me, but it is highly rated on Amazon.
From Book 1: Ollie Ellis is a jinx. A magnet for mishaps. A gravitational center for disasters all over the scale from oopsie to catastrophe. So is it really any surprise when it turns out her latest recovery job is not a stolen item, but a missing demon? Nope. Thatโs just her luck.
Thereโs never a dull moment in her life. Itโs a gift – and a curse. Tracking a demon is no simple task, so itโs a good thing Ollieโs always up for a challenge. But the deeper she gets into the curious case, the more she discovers about the mysterious men that hired her. Men sheโs bound to by magical contract.
Secrets surface, and though it becomes clear her new clients are more than a little dangerous, thereโs also no denying sheโs drawn to them. Bad idea? For sure. But those happen to be her specialty. After a lifetime on her own, Ollie may finally have met her match. And that deal she made? She might get far more than she bargained for.
A Deal with the Devil is a Reverse Harem Bi Poly Steamy Paranormal Demon Romance Novella around 30k words. This book contains variations of MMFM scenes, bisexual demon hotties, and a trouble-making little imp with a penchant for finding herself in precarious positions – like sandwiched between two deliciously sinful demons. Steamy Romance / Menage / MM / MMF / Paranormal Fantasy Romance

It looks like a bullseye on the comedy portion of Romantic Comedy, and I am so here for it! Here is a sample:
“Straddling both worlds is a little like roller skating on office chairs. It might be fun for a while, but you’re probably going to end up in the emergency room”.
I was laughing out loud at this. What an image. This book seems to be right up my alley, and I’ve already gotten this bad girl lined up to read.
P.S.: A lot of the reviews indicate editing is needed and that there are a lot of grammatical errors. I’m blessed with not caring about these things (usually) when it is a Kindle Unlimited book. As long as the story is good and I enjoy it, I can overlook a lot. But please do keep this in mind before you buy if you don’t have Kindle Unlimited.
P.P.S: You can get the omnibus here. I actually prefer individual books, so that’s where the button will lead.
P.P.P.S I just noticed there is a black wolf on the cover between our MC and the blonde dude! Spot the wolf!
From Book 1:
The Library of the Profane has everything your black heart desires. But we donโt just allow anyone to get a library card.
Need to summon a demon? Raise the dead? A clan of vampires bothering you? Do you like the really nasty werewolf erotica? The Library of the Profane has all of that, but not everyone can handle the contents (Some people canโt handle their werewolf erotica). Iโve been a librarian here for five years and when I say I killed to get this job, Iโm not being facetious.
You canโt check out our books. Some of the books are sentient and donโt like it. We have rooms to perform the spells in or hell, we do have a copy machine (copies are extra). When a witch came in and said they needed to do a little necromancy, I didnโt question it. They wouldnโt have been given a library card if they were going to raise someone really bad. I helped with the necromancy because itโs just my job as a librarian.
Except it wasnโt a normal resurrection. It was the physical embodiment of Chaos and when he woke up, he saw me first and now heโs attached. Chaos personified is aย horribleย library guest and he wonโt leave with the witch who raised him. Heโs constantly getting into things heโs not supposed to and heโs really into the werewolf erotica.
Itโs not like I can let him out because the Library of the Profane is meant to contain Chaos. The rest of the world isnโt. Heโs awful about keeping his identity secret too. A warlock, a Hellhound, and a vampire know heโs here and they are bugging me to let Chaos have a little fun.
I just want a normal day of summoning demons, cursing people, and telling people to be quiet in my library. This is too much.

I read the first book when it was first released, and I recall loving it! Several laugh-out-loud moments. For some reason, I lost track of the series. Now that it is complete, I will definitely be finishing it.
โMarry the devilโฆor die.โ
Thatโs the ultimatum Belle Harrison, vampire slayer, just received from a demon. Belle has only one response: To hell with him.
Turns out itโs not that easy, thoughโapparently the devil doesnโt know the meaning of the word no.
Lucky for Belle, three panty-melting vampires come to her aid. Three hot vampires she canโt resist. Hey, we all have our vices. Hers just happen to have fangs.
And sheโs going to need these three to help her thwart the devilโs marriage proposal and defeat the terrifying dark force that wants her dead.

I wasn’t sucked into this series, but it has a TON of great reviews.ย There is an omnibus, but it isn’t listed on KU.ย So use KU for the individual books, and use the omnibus for Audible to save some money.
From Book 1:ย Lexi hates the gods.
Their arrogance. Their disregard for life. Their oppressive rule.
Her father, Hades, is no exception. But since his brothers imprisoned him in a labyrinth, he and Lexi share a common goalโdestroying the other gods. To free him, she must enlist the help of a loyal and gorgeous hellhound, and an obnoxious but sexy hero.
No one warned her about the trials that await.
The void that threatens to consume her. The rampaging champion who can kill her with a single blow. And the ex whoโs looking for vengeance of the fatal variety.
And they definitely left out the details about fated love. Twice over.
Now Lexi must decide what sheโs willing to surrender to defeat opponents who will sacrifice humanity before theyโll forfeit their power.

I am adding so many great books to my TBR pile this week! I probably wouldn’t have given this one a shot; I’m not much for reading about gods, but DANG. What a start to the series. The writing seems solid, and I’m already intrigued. If you don’t have KU and are contemplating buying the books, it will be cheaper to buy the box set than each book individually, just a heads up.
From Book 1:
Sheโs blind. And sheโs being hunted.
Aika Song must make an important delivery through the cursed Crimson Forest for her injured father. If she doesnโt, they wonโt survive the hard winter.
She fails.
But sheโs rescued by wolf shifters who somehow give her sight.
Thereโs beautiful, funnyย Archerย who canโt quite hide his pain.ย Gradyย whoโs sullen and loud. Andย Thomas, their alpha, who mysteriously vanishes.
Aika is desperate to get back home but finds herself entangled in her fatherโs secrets. He has enemies. So do the wolf shifters she feels a blooming fondness for. ย And all their enemies areย circling closer to their prey.
With her wolvesโ help, Aika will have to stay one step ahead if sheโs to surviveย Winterโs Edge.

Holy cow. I am not sure how the heck this is classified as a Romantic Comedy, but I am definitely going to read this series. Suuuuper creepy. Get this line “It was as though I had a pair of working eyes, but they were unattached, sitting like marbles on the other side of the fire”. Beautiful.
Side note- The box set is NOT on Kindle unlimited, so use the series link to get the individual books from KU.ย The Audible link will take you to the box set.ย Use this if you are getting an audiobook, but note that the kindle version is $5.99.
In summary-Use KU for individual books, and use the audible book link for the audiobook only.
