Happy Friday,
I hope you all had a lovely week.
This has been an odd reading week, and I desperately need to get back in the groove next week. I am in the mood for books that rarely hit the market. Zombies! End of the world! Apocalypse! Dystopian! I don’t know why those all got exclamations.
I cannot be the only person out here that likes these types of books. Right?? Anyway, I’m going to be over here manifesting these books, please please please let an author somewhere release some of these books!
I hope you are having your book dreams fulfilled and finding the types of books you are interested in reading.
As always, all descriptions and images are from Amazon. Aa an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases.
Be well, and happy reading!

All three books in the Dragon’s Creed Series in one place.
There’s no such thing as dragons. Or so they told me.
That was before a dragon killed my mother. I witnessed it, yet no one believed me, then they stamped the “crazy” label on my forehead. So, yeah, things haven’t always gone my way.
These days, I have no time for that. I just want to graduate and get the heck out of Summers Lake.
But when a group of my classmates vanishes without a trace, I’m sucked back into a supernatural whirlwind. Desperate, I enlist my forever-crush and two of his friends who seem to know more than they let on.
They’re hot as hell, infuriatingly charming, and won’t tell me anything. But their irresistible charm isn’t going to stop me from figuring out what happened.
Soon, I get the truth out of them, and it’s not pretty. They’re dragon shifters and have answers about my past, and my role in their hidden world.
It turns out it’s my duty to protect humans from evil dragons, whether I like it or not.
And when my classmates start turning up dead, the race against the clock is on.
*** Leap into USA Today bestselling author Ingrid Seymour and Katie French’s action-packed adventure, a Young Adult Dragon Shifter romance with a fierce heroine and three sexy dragon shifters!
*** Fans of Clean “Why Choose” Romance will love this series! Appropriate for ages 13 and up.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Currently reading
Prospect: Will finish the series, I'm at 36%, so I think I'm in book 2? This is a collection of all the books.
Positives: I was on the edge of my seat. Super suspenseful. I love trying to figure out what the heck is going on.
Problems: I'm not feeling the mates yet, but I'm sure that will come. This is a slow burn, so that's okay.
Even if the world did end, five men is far too many to handle. Isn’t it?
Since the Final War, I’ve been doing just fine. I have a lovely cave, a darling vegetable patch, forest views . . . and if loneliness sometimes squeezes my aching heart, well, my books have always kept me company.
That is, until a pack of hunters chase me from my home and right into the arms of several rather large, rather brutish ex-Army Rangers. And those brutes have the nerve to make me the rudest offer I’ve ever heard.
Their protection—for my body.
The whole thing is absurd. Scandalous. Perverted, even. I mean, just the thought of doing that with five men, well, it’s . . . it’s . . .
I take the deal.
Okay, so it’s possible I find them indecently tempting. But these men also have secrets, and pasts so fraught with emotion, I’m not sure I can untangle them all. Or whether they’ll let me.
No, my brutes have made it excruciatingly clear where they think I belong—beneath them, between them, bent over backwards for them . . . but certainly not beside them.
And I don’t think that’s going to work for me.

The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy reverse harem romance series, meaning Eden will end up with three or more love interests after I’ve appropriately obliterated my readers’ nerves.
Expect complex characters, 1st person present tense, multiple POVs, MM in the harem, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some readers may find sensitive—a full description of which can be found on my author website.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Almost finished
Prospect: Already marked the next one to read
Positives: Fantastic story line. I'm biased, dystopian/end of the world tropes are my favorite trope.
Problems: I didn't love the aspect of 'have sex or you're on your own', but the author made it work. I read in some reviews that there is a massive cliff-hanger, which I could see was coming. I actually stopped the book at about 90%, where I felt it was an okay stopping point. I hate cliffy's, so I'll just finish the last bit when book 2 comes out.
Hiding out in a mental institution isn’t glamorous. But I call it surviving.
I’m blissfully unaware of the world outside thanks to the hospital’s walls—and spell—that hide me. Until a ghost shows up, talking about his friends being marked by a demon. But not just any demon. The same one who marked me and wants me dead.
My father.
Fearful that Daddy Dearest could be my next uninvited guess, I choose to follow the ghost to his four very alive friends. To my relief, they want Salrus dead just as much as I do. What I’m not prepared for is finding out that Zane—the alpha wolf shifter—is my mate, and the demon mark links the six of us—ghost included—together on a deeper level than I ever imagined.
Teaming up and preparing to face the demon stirs up passion and dark secrets none of us are really ready to face.
Marked for Them is the first in a hot new reverse harem, paranormal romance series, Witches of Rose Lake.

Paige's Perspective
Progress: In progress, 36%
Prospect: Undecided, may finish
Positives: This is a collection, I believe I'm on the second book. Interesting story line, but I can't tell who is going to be in the harem and who I should root for. It's good writing, so I'll definitely read more by this author.
Problems: Two of the potential harem members, if I'm reading this correctly, are already in a relationship, and have been committed to each other for ten years. I haven't reached the meet cute yet, but I'm not sure how I feel about them suddenly adding another person to their relationship. I could be completely off base.
*book release has been delayed slightly due to health. Sorry to make you wait longer, but I promise it will make it better!*
The three kingdoms have been at peace for awhile now. Earth, Air, Sky.
Their people are prospering and are happy.
Well, they’re happy as long as they keep their secret kings subdued and the kingdom’s peoples keep to themselves.
Alira is a solution nobody wants- castaway in disgust because she doesn’t look like anybody else. In any of the kingdoms.
After years of flying under the radar, Alira crosses path with a court official that is more than just offended by her appearance and what she represents; in his eyes, Alira is an abomination that needs to be disposed of.
Mixed race children don’t occur in the perfect societies the kingdoms have morphed into, so Alira is taken captive and fed to the wolves. Literally.
What no one saw coming is that the wolves, who are the Kings the societies have been keeping secret from their citizens, are all drawn to Alira, and cannot bring themselves to harm her. Instead, they must all woo her because she is their ticket out of captivity.
The wolves are made of up all sorts of creatures that go bump in the night, and they have been repressed for too long. Time to break free and reclaim their kingdoms and give their captors a taste of their own medicine.
This is a reverse harem dystopian romance, intended for 18+
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Mostly finished
Prospect: I'll read more by this author
Positives: Super interesting story line
Problems: So much sex. I skipped chapters. Hard problem (pun) to have, lol. Be prepared for lots of sex, and don't read it while you are getting. your hair done...
Double, double toil, I’m in so much trouble.
Fire burn, and cauldron crumble…
Pepper O’Malley, headmistress… No, no that’s not it.
Keymaster, yes I am the keymaster… No that isn’t quite it either. I think I’m getting close.
Peace keeper! That’s the one.
New Peacekeeper of the Philadelphia region, and I’ve already fallen prey to one slimy criminal that remains elusive. Pulling myself out of his terror trap might just be my greatest accomplishment. At least for the afternoon.
While terror continues to…well, terrorize the city, witches show up on my doorstep with a bogus job and more curiosity than their familiars. They want something from me, I just haven’t figured out what it is yet. I better figure it out soon, because it’s not just my life on the line anymore.
Five very stubborn, very delicious males refuse to leave my side.
Unfortunately, they aren’t afraid to put their life on the line for me.
I just have to make sure that never happens.
As it is, the Fates have other plans.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: currently reading
Prospect: Will finish
Positives: This is another suspense filled book, and I'm totally freaked out by the big bad. I have my theories, but he is terrifying.
Problems: I'm pacing myself because I can't read before bed, I think it might keep me up lol. I'm also not in a rush since the final book isn't out yet.
Something Psychotic this way comes.
Pepper O’Malley
Jill of all trades, hedonist, and dark witch.
Adrenaline tastes better with a little blood and sweat. At least, that is what I tell myself after an undercover job goes awry and I get fired by my friend. He’s lucky I love him and see right through his command to keep me safe.
Nowhere else to go and in need of cash. I finally head home, where my childhood best friends left me the keys to the bar. They hoped one day I’d open the corner pub back up and make it my own.
Keys in hand, I open the bar with a little magical help and end up knee-deep in immortal drama. That fine print will get you every single time. Turns out they didn’t just leave me their bar but their mantle of peacekeeper for the city of Philadelphia. Now I’m slinging cocktails and giving that coveted bartender advice. It’s an unsuspected gig, but it feels right.
Until dead bodies start turning up, terror frozen on their faces, and their bodies nothing but dried-up husks.
Everything I’ve learned is about to get put to the test, and when a few strays stumble my way, saying they want to help, I know better than to accept. Only I’m out of my league and very mortal. For now, I need to accept their help.
The stakes have never been higher.
Psychotic is Book 1 in a 5 Book seriesfull of magic, chaos and one witch who refuses to choose between all the demons vying for her attention.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: Reading book 2
Positives: Really like the cousins
Problems: The twins are going to have to do some massive groveling, in my opinion.
The southern aristocracy brought together…An underworld empire put at risk…
Six vicious men united… By one woman—Dahlia Aldridge
I had lived here most of my life in a blissful state of ignorance, surrounded by a loving family and the other residents of Wildberry Lane. Specifically, their sons – the heirs to some of the largest fortunes in the country. I had grown used to them acting as my shadows, protecting me and surrounding me with enough affection that I never questioned if their words were in fact the truth.
Then the Brooks twins came to town. Suddenly, everything I had known about myself was being shattered as they dug up my worst insecurities and exploited them to the world. I began questioning everything.
Kingston Ross. Stratton Lee. Yates Carter. Lincoln & Sterling Gates.
They have been able to protect me from everything… but myself. My boys carry a darkness inside of them that has never scared me. The shadows of deeds done at night, away from the spotlight of being who we were in this societal hierarchy. They think I’m afraid of that, but they couldn’t be farther from the truth.
I wasn’t afraid of their darkness.
I wasn’t afraid of my feelings for them, ones that had grown from friendship into so much more.
I wasn’t even afraid of expressing that to them… eventually.
What I was afraid of? That I would hurt those around me with my shame and pain.
I would just have to perfect the art of suffering in silence.
Wildberry Lane – Home to the extremely wealthy and powerful Southern elite.
The completed collection features all novels in The Shadows of Wildberry Lane trilogy:
Perfection of Suffering
Execution of Anguish
Carnage of Misery
Series warnings: contains sexual content for +18, swearing, violence, and triggers when it comes to specifically, but not limited to, eating disorders and bullying.
Important to note, the bullying is NOT done by the harem, but rather by outside sources. This is a slow/medium burn reverse harem/why choose series.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: I read this author a lot, will read more
Positives: I really needed book like this. It was pretty low-angst, in comparison to other things I've been reading.
Problems: The kids (they are kids to me, I'm just an old fart over here) are college age. Hard for me to imagine the types of things they are getting up to. I just pretended they were older and it worked for me.
I also like those types of books. So no your not the only one.
I have found a few, but i wish more author would write these genres.
I’m so glad to know I’m not alone! Maybe if enough of us clamor for them, we’ll start getting more 🙂
