Happy Friday!
This was a really big week for me. I’m usually around 7-9 books. This week I clocked in at 12. The more stressed I am at work, the more I read. If I ever get around to playing around with analyzing my reading habits, I’ll have to see if I can correlate anything stress-wise. Let’s not hold our breath about that ever happening, though.
Quite a few of the books appear on theme post from Tuesday. So thank you to the reader who requested that theme! I’m sure now the books I selected don’t actually fit the spirit of the request, but I tried!Â
Hopefully, you can all have a relaxing weekend full of delicious reverse harem books.
As always, all images and descriptions are from Amazon; as an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases.Â
Be well, and happy reading!
Paige
P.S. I’ll be on a little holiday next week, so there won’t be a theme post.Â
I have huge man problems.Literally, since one of my mates is a T-Rex.
Things are about to get interesting, because my day job happens to be in a museum.
A museum full of dinosaur bones, if you know what I mean.
It turns out my bloodline is older than dirt, and an ancestral matchmaker decided to send me some gifts…aka, men. And not just any men, but dinosaur shifters from the past.
I’ve read enough paranormal romance to know all about fated mates, but I’ve never heard of fated dinosaur mates. These men are supposed to be my perfect match, here to help me learn about my magic. Rawr. Yes, they are as sexy as you are imagining.
My life had been a routine of working and spending time watching TV with my pet pig, Albert Einswine. Now I needed to learn to control the magic I never knew I had, learn more about my family line, and help these sexy dino shifters adjust to modern society.
All while hiding a T-Rex sized secret from the world.
To make matters worse, detectives are looking into the explosion I may or may not have caused when my blood mixed with some magic-infused ancient dust, which is a serious problem since the sexy green-eyed detective has my heart flip-flopping in my chest.
Dinosaurs & Disasters is a light-hearted romantic comedy with a whole lot of steam! This isn’t a save-the-world type of story, but rather it focuses on Arizona’s coming into her hidden abilities and tracking down each of her fated mates.
*This is a paranormal series, not a serious true-to-science series. So, if you are hoping to learn about dinosaurs, this probably isn’t the read for you. If you want to giggle hard enough that the people around you think you’re crazy, then this might be the book for you!
Paige's Perspective
Progress: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book, and the audio did not dissapoint.
Prospect: I've pre-ordered the second book already.Â
Positives: Sedona Ashe is one of my favorite authors. I find myself frequently laughing out loud while reading her books. This was no exception. She starts each chapter with a pig joke, and they crack me up!
She is an excellent storyteller and builds the world and characters in such a way that I can't help but be engaged. I don't feel any information dumps. I cannot wait to see where this series goes.Â
Problems: I want the next book, and I want it now!Â
P.S. This read was an audio listen. Â
Three wealthy businessmen with a score to settleOne beautiful young woman who is the key to solving their dispute
What could possibly go wrong?
Life is lonely when you don’t have one to share it with.
The fact that my friends are too busy for me is the most painful part of it all.
However, by chance, I meet the board directors of a popular software company,
And they have a strange way of choosing their CEO.
They want me to have their baby!
The first one to get me pregnant gets to be the CEO.
Who in their right mind would agree to this?
With three million dollars on the line, and the possibility of becoming their wife,
I would be crazy not to accept it…
Paige's Perspective
Progress: I finished
Prospect: Not my cuppa.
Positives: This is a successful series and is marketed accordingly. The book fulfilled the synopsis provided.
Problems: This is not really an R.H., but this is part of a series for a specific trope, and it does fit that. Â
There's an outstanding request on the blog for books where the harem is trying to get the FMC pregnant; this fits that request to a T. Â
It's just so short and needs character development.Â
P.S. I'm not trying to dis it; there is a market for a novella like this. It had lots of sex (I skipped those scenes, so I can't read the spice.). It just didn't read like an R.H. to me.
I’m a hidden Omega with murderous impulses…
Can you blame me? With my designation it’s kill or be killed, or worse. Just ask my sister.
After the Sanctuary thrust her into the arms of a monster, I swore I’d never follow in her footsteps. Not when I revealed five years ago, and not now. I’d make it alone. No Sanctuary. No Alphas. No plan.
I didn’t really think it through.
Even if I don’t need an Alpha to take care of me, my body does. And I’m running out of time to find one of my choice. With my heats getting closer to lethal every month and a vampire kingpin who knows my identity, my only hope are the mysterious strangers investigating my long string of murders.
Shan, the bland angel with a penchant for the rules (and making me follow them). Caspian, an incubus-fae hybrid who’s equal parts sensual and vulnerable. Em, the team’s muscle who’s inexplicably absent from the investigation.
Add in my sassy, cursed feline familiar and we have ourselves a party. And the best heat of my life, if I can bring myself to trust them with my secrets. But can I repair my frayed trust before it’s too late?
Frayed Trust is the first book in a reverse harem trilogy and ends on a cliffhanger. There is plentiful m/m content throughout, and poly themes! Please make sure you check the trigger warnings.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: 89%
Prospect: Only stopping to publish this post, will finish tonight.
Positives: So many threads are loose throughout the book. Â I am doing my best to try and figure out how everything is connected. Â Really engaging read.Â
Problems: I don't like the miscommunication trope, but this isn't quite that. Â They are all hiding something from each other, but they also all know it. Â So it doesn't bother me as much.Â
Faith Cox was not expecting to get a divorce for Christmas. Instead of taking a second honeymoon with her husband, she finds herself on the beach enjoying her holiday alone. Or… not alone. Crystal clear water and sunshine isn’t all she encounters in the Caribbean.
When three gorgeous men come parading into her life and claim her as theirs, things get… interesting. Peril unexpectedly finds Faith on her holiday away, and her would-be suitors are tasked with her rescue. Bringing the magic of Christmas into their mate’s life is suddenly the least of their concerns.
Have a Little Faith is a juicy reverse harem Christmas romp with spice, action, and humor. This book contains steamy scenes unsuitable for readers under 18.

Three best friends in a fake relationship with the same woman… What could go wrong?
I’m the luckiest girl in the world.
The three hottest men I’ve ever met have protected me my entire life. And they happen to be my best friends.
I was unceremoniously dumped and humiliated, so my best friends devise a plan for revenge.
Now I’m in a fake relationship with all three of them to get back at a man who never truly deserved me.
Jacob is quiet and brilliant, but a bad boy lurks underneath his polished exterior.
Noah is every woman’s dream. The thought of disappointing him brings me to my knees.
Austin is damaged and uncontrollable, but we share a dark past. He will always have my back.
I know I should choose between them… but I can’t.
After years of pent-up tension, I finally end up in bed with all three of them. It seems like the perfect fairy tale… until it’s not.
Outside forces are determined to tear us apart. This fake relationship is taking a delicious and dangerous turn.
18+ Only. Standalone reverse harem / why choose romance with a HEA.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished, will read the next
Prospect: will read the next standalone
Positives: Super light, sweet story
Problems: I know we needed a problem/resolution near the end, but dang do I not like em lol
Mario, Anthony, and Jared – they’re my older brother’s best friends. And the three of them run a powerful law firm.
I’ve dedicated my life to my law studies, and as I graduate and look to become a lawyer myself, I find myself interviewing at my brother’s friend’s firm.
It should be easy, right? I have perfect credentials and an in with my brother.
But of course it’s never that easy.
And when I find myself in complicated relationships with my brother’s best friends… things go from messy to disastrous.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: Read the next book
Positives: Sweet, light story.
Problems: Suspend all disbelief about lawyers, HR policy, and general good business management and skill.
When my aunt left her country house to me in her will, there was no mention of the fae that came along with it. It didn’t take long for them to introduce themselves, however.
Evan – Controlled and suave. His composure drives me crazy. I’d do anything to get him to lose control.
Reed – Muscular and handy. Despite getting off to a rough start, he seems genuinely concerned about me.
Kaison – Sexy but emotionally unavailable. He was my first crush and kiss. Unfortunately, he stole something from me ten years ago.
Callum – Diabolically adorable. Shhh….Don’t tell the others, but I think he’s my favorite.
When they crash into my life, I never realized they were everything I was missing. Too bad they are betrothed to another. Even worse because Kaison owes me a debt. I can’t be free of them until we’re square.
If I survive this with my sanity still intact, I’ll consider myself lucky. In order to be happy, though, I might just have to surrender to the chaos that surrounds them.
**Warning** This book contains graphic sex scenes (some group and some involving male/male sexual scenarios). As such, this book intended for adults only. If you are not eighteen years old or older, keep on scrolling. This is not the book for you.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: Would read more from this world, but there doesn't seem to be more published. 🙂
Positives: What a charming idea for a shared universe. Â There are several unanswered questions, and lots of places the author could explore. Â This does end in an HEA for our FMC, so don't be put off that there is only this one book finished. Â
Problems: I want more backstory explained. Â
In the words of her schoolmaster, Kiarra is an erratic disaster. In the well-ordered and balanced society of the kingdom of Megreria, she is a failure. Every person in Megreria has an occupation in a specific House and a designated Soul Match.
Not Kiarra. She has delayed her exams until the last allowable minute, but her mind refuses to focus on one House. When she meets one man from each of the five Houses, her inability to choose extends to her heart. The rules demand she choose though, one House and one man.
What happens when she feels drawn to all five Houses and all five men who have captured her attention, and possibly her heart? Will she be doomed to a life of a Commoner? Will society and the kingdom shun her? Or have the Fates already chosen her destiny?
***This is a slow-burn reverse harem with a strong fantasy plot which includes intrigue, world-building, and character development.***
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: Will read the next one
Positives: So much intrigue! What is the truth? Who can we trust?Â
Problems: I don't feel like I quite know all the harem members yet, but that's okay. There are enough of them that I wouldn't expect to know them all in book 1.Â
Joining the law firm run by my brother Chris’s three best friends was suppose to be easy. But I never imagined I’d find myself in a relationship with two, maybe three, of said friends. With all of the drama, I need to find a new law firm to join so I can separate my work and my pleasure. But will leaving create even more drama? And how do I keep Chris from finding out about my new relationships?
Paige's Perspective
Progress: I think I DNF
Prospect: I can't remember if I started book three and didn't finish, or if I just think I finished this one but didn't.
Positives: I still think this is a good story idea.
Problems: I just can't get over how unprofessional they all are. Â And I truly don't feel our FMC is that brilliant, and I do think she feels entitled. Â
P.S. I think if this went through a round of editing and some tweaks to how the characters met and interacted, this could be a real gem.  I just can't wrap my head around everything.  For example, the ''Their Temptation'' series had plenty of issues, but I felt they all acted their age.
Sarah Mitchell has arrived at Misty River Ranch where she can’t wait to experience the life of a Montana rancher. As a seasoned solo traveller, she’s accustomed to moving from place-to-place and never setting down any roots.
What she doesn’t count on is falling for the cowboys who reside at the property, and for their feelings to be reciprocated.
When mustering turns to intimate scenes sweeter than s’mores, Sarah no longer craves the knight in shiny armor every fairytale presents. She wants seven pairs of boots under her bed, and sexy cowboys in blue jeans and dusty hats.
She’s close to having her wish, but when tragedy strikes, will Sarah be forced to decide where she belongs in the world or will her cowboys teach her home isn’t where you lay your hat?
Sarah’s Cowboys is a standalone why-choose, reverse harem romance by bestselling author Kiera Jayne. It has adults scenes, and recommended to those over the age of eighteen.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: finished
Prospect: May revisit other books set in this town
Positives: This was a nice read. Â Although it did have me sobbing at points. Â Laughing in others.
Problems: It had a daddy kink, which I just am not into. Â So problem for me, but not for you. I wasn't feeling it with one of the harem, didn't feel like the relationship built as well as it did with the others.
…why did I feel like they might be the net that caught me?

With Brian, Sam, and Dane by her side, Lily tries to outrun her past while keeping the new family she’s found protected from it. But when the stalker’s behavior grows increasingly dangerous, Lily finds herself fighting to keep everything together. Can she trust Brian, Sam, and Dane to stay when she fully lets them in? Or will her secrets of the past shatter everything she’s worked so hard to build?
****Trigger warnings: This book has heavy themes of childhood sexual abuse, psychological abuse and rape depicted through flashbacks. It is also a “Why Choose” reverse harem standalone novel. Please view a full list of triggers in the introduction of SHATTER.****

Progress: Finished
Prospect: Will revisit this author
Positives: This was a lovely book, very glad to have read it.
Problems: I can't remember.
P.S. I skipped the flashbacks, author sufficiently warned about them and I didn't want to put myself through it. Â

Society of Shifters is a shared world universe crafted by a collection of USA Today and international bestselling authors. You may read this series in any order.
Paige's Perspective
Progress: Finished
Prospect: Will always read books by T.S. Snow
Positives: Characters were built well, relationships progressed nicely.
Problems: This is set in a shared universe, so I have questions about general politics of that world.  Doesn't really pertain to this book.  But I found myself wondering why things were happening in this society.  Guess I'll have to read more of the books. 🙂
P.S. This was a super sweet, light hearted read.  I'm not taking away from that at all.  Just...did you zoom in on the cover? The gal on the front is our FMC, right? And the animal is her in her animal form? The koala grabbing on to her boob! I don't love the cover.  But I liked the book. 🙂
