Our MC goes undercover as a stripper in this book. It has received a lot of good reviews. I have a feeling our MC is TSTL, however, and didn’t end up reading past the sample. BUT Cassie Cole is a much-loved author, and this does fit our theme, so I’m going to include it. I was reading it while sitting on the floor of my kiddo’s room, begging sleep to arrive, so I may just have been in the opposite mindset for a book.
A succubus working as a stripper sounds like a cliché or start of a bad joke, but Lola Chase is in a human only province in Canada for other reasons. Someone is murdering women society looks down on, and she’s there to stop it. As a demon, she’s bottom of the supernatural food chain and knows how often people ignore crimes against them.
From the start there isn’t much to go on, and she ends up getting in a bit of trouble following any leads she gets.
