My conscience won’t let me rest until I’ve made sure the outcasts living here are safe. No harm will come to them because of my actions. And, since the Lords are out of commission—also my fault—they can’t stop me.

But it also means they can’t bail me out. I have to figure this out on my own, or I’ll never find closure on Em’s murder.
